Book Signing Event: #CTCinPH (Sept. 13, 2015)

Last Sunday, I went to a book signing event of authors Colleen Hoover, Tarryn Fisher and Christine Brae. Thanks to National Bookstore, lots of Filipino book lovers were able to meet and greet these three astounding authors.

This is actually my first time attending a book signing event and let me just share you how memorable this day turned out. I was really ready to leave my house at around 7 AM but due to some delays (like my auntie being so late) I end up leaving around 9 AM and I arrived at SM Megamall at 9:45 AM. When I went to the gate, I was a little puzzled because there is no line. But when we asked the guards, they led us at the activity event centre where people are swarming like bees. I. WAS. SHOCKED. But do you ever feel like your heart is about to explode because of too much happiness? And all your insides just turned up side down? Because you know that all the people there, all the people surrounding you, all the people that are patiently waiting in line have the same passion as you. It was the best feeling. I really can’t explain it.. It’s just nice to know that I know where I really belong. I really didn’t meet any other bookstagram-er nor book bloggers because, yeah, I was shy and I don’t know how to approach them. (Maybe next time I’ll pack up my courage and make friends with them 🙂 )

Anyway, I waited 2 hours and 30 minutes before I was registered and I waited another 4 hours before my books were signed but it was all worth it. Every seconds of it was so worth it. I was able to see these three lovely ladies and there’s also a Q&A before the proper book signing began and I’ll try to post it soon so we can know more about them. 🙂

I was able to hug Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher! (Sadly, I wasn’t able to meet Christine Brae because I don’t have any of her books, huhu) but I waved at her and she waved back 🙂 But I think Tarryn got my heart because dang, she’s so beautiful! I really thought she looks like Katy Perry, hmm.

IMG_1900As you can see, I was the 594th person but when it’s my turn, those three ladies were still smiling like they weren’t tired at all. Colleen even asked me how was I doing and I was totally speechless because I’m the one who should ask her that, after signing thousand of books! On the other hand, when Tarryn was about to sign my book, she read the note and laugh! (I made her laugh, YAY best feeling! 🙂 ) She had the best dedication so far. 😉

Believe me, but until now, the scene where I met them are still replaying on my mind. I just can’t believe that I had met two of my favorite authors. It still feels surreal, and if this really is a dream, please don’t dare wake me up!! 🙂

These are my first ever book signed books!

I am really happy that I was able to participate in this kind of event. Glad I didn’t miss it! 🙂

PS: I don’t think I’ll ever get tired seeing the fruits of my almost 7 hours of waiting!
