At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.
A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Someday will immerse readers in Sydney’s tumultuous world from the very first page.
“We try so hard to hide everything we’re really feeling from those who probably need to know our true feelings the most.”
First of all, I’d like to commend Colleen Hoover for creating such perfect piece. I can’t remember when was the last time I’ve read a wonderful book as this and I’m so delighted I came across with this book. Now, this is what a love story should be.
The story began with lots of punching and bloody nose. Sydney, the girl who used to have a perfect best friend, boyfriend and life, loses everything in a snap. Her whole fairy tale world instantly shattered into tiny little piece and it left her walking the street without purse and no where to go to. And the plot twist? She became a homeless heart-broken twenty two year old girl under the pouring rain on her birthday. She found herself sleeping on the couch of her two-week-found neighborhood, Ridge. Ridge is a musician, and since Sydney has a talent for writing musics, they worked and matched perfectly.
“Words can sometimes have a far greater effect on a heart than a kiss.”
The story focuses on the way that their passion for music seems to unite them but the reality is slapping them that they can’t be together. The love story shown here isn’t rushed nor forced. And the beauty of it is that when you know how to patiently wait, every single thing falls into its right. All the pain and doubt from the past are healed and the whole new you are worthy to love and be loved. I just simply love every part of this book! (I honestly have like 1/3 of my book bookmarked because all of those are my favorite parts!)
This story is about the chances that you could have take and could have change your life, the time spent with the wrong people are not always wasted, the sacrifices for the benefit of other and loving the right person at the wrong time. This is an ultimate heart-wrenching, eye-crying and mind boggling story and if you feel like reading a book that will give you feels, then this is the right one.
